It is a little difficult to refrain from using language that some would find abusive in reacting to a report like this. Suffice to say that Rebecca Kukla is, simply, right. What’s to argue? Absolute prohibitions are virtually always grss overreactions, and this one is no exception. Back in times past, when alcoholic drinks were the standard beverages of almost everybody, were 100% of born children suffering from fetal alcoholic syndrome? I don’t think so!
